Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between the two types of coaching?
The online group programming is a structured, properly periodised and real-time 16 week programme that is the same for everyone following it apart from your training numbers; it leads you into a testing week before starting a whole new training cycle. With this option, you get access to The Strength Movement Facebook Group to post your training videos for analysis, communicate with fellow team members and keep up to date with the latest from TSM.
The individualised coaching option is for those wanting a fully personalised, weekly programme catered towards specific training goals and a lot more contact with your coach for technique analysis, mobility advice and general support for your training. With this service, you’ll get exclusive access to a lot more as specified in the checklist above!
What experience level do I need to be?
The Strength Movement works with athletes and lifters of all abilities, from beginner to advanced. You don’t have to be at a certain level or want to compete to be involved, simply a passion to work hard and get better! A recommendation from us if you are newer to lifting/strength training would be to choose our individualised option, so that we can put you in the right direction earlier in your journey.
Do I need coaching?
The main reasons people choose to follow a programme or get a coach are for structure, accountability and taking the stress out of training so that you can focus on your lifting and making progress. The Strength Movement’s goal is to be your all-in-one hub for strength coaching, offering all these things and more. If you’re feeling lost in regards to the direction of your training, are stuck in a plateau and not progressing or want to try a new approach then The Strength Movement coaching services are ideal for you!
When can I get started?
Once you’ve submitted an entry form below and chosen your coaching option, you’re on track to get started. Group programming members will be able to start almost immediately whereas individualised coaching clients takes a bit more time due to the personalised nature of the service, usually getting you set up for the start of your next training week.
Can I get in-person coaching sessions?
Of course! One to one sessions are available at the gym, if you feel you need personal coaching time and a closer look at your lifts. Feel free to send an email to email@example.com for more information about bookings and pricing information. The Strength Movement also holds regular free meet-ups for any subscribed member, where you can meet the rest of the team and have your lifts analysed in person.
How long am I signing up for?
The Strength Movement runs on a monthly basis, so you are not tied into a contract or a certain amount of time. All we ask for is a month’s notice as common courtesy if you want to leave. Remember though, coaching is a process and for you to see the maximum benefits you need to dedicate yourself to it and communicate honestly with your coach.
How can I keep up with The Strength Movement news, updates and offers?
You can always contact us through our email which is firstname.lastname@example.org or through our Instagram page @thestrengthmovementuk which will always be active with news, updates and offers as well as activity from TSM members and anything going on at Athlete Movement.
You can also speak to Head Coach Ben directly through his Instagram page @blgstrength if needed. Weightlifting Coach Shea is available through his Instagram page @stconditioning. Other than that, the Facebook group can be accessed once you are a team member as can our exercise and movement library on Instagram (@thestrengthmovementguide).
