In the lead up to Britain’s Strongest Man Bish produced one of the most impressive things that has ever happened at Athlete Movement.

A deadlift ladder of 300KG, 320KG, 340KG, 360KG & 380KG in a little over 20 seconds.

Cut to this weekend and him dominating the entire competition with 4 out of 5 event wins returning him to the top of the podium and two time Britain’s Strongest Man 💪

Veira flew across Europe with us to tackle the slopes having never even seen a ski in real life before.

After just 3 mornings of lessons he was flying down one of the hardest reds in Val d’Isere with no regard for how to stop 😍

At night he specialised in guiding drunken team mates home down the mountain in one piece. All whilst being bombarded with ‘Edit this photo please Nick’ 🥲

@redtweak & @chouxbun_ are firm fixtures at Athlete Movement and we love everything they bring ❤️

@redtweak has had many names over the years. Tweak, Tweck, Tweakle, El Tweko, Red, Josh Bailey…someone even called her Chloe once. 

@chouxbun_ has many names but we’d never dare share them as she is a legitimate bad ass who would destroy us with one hand. If the zombie apocalypse comes, she is who we’re calling🧟‍♀️

They’ve done too many great things over the years to list but never invite @chouxbun_ to a nerf gun war as she can headshot you from 20m.

@redtweak may be rubbish at nerf gun wars but she is the kind of friend to let you use her internet at 2am without even being asked so she gets a pass ❤️

Their’s is a true, lifelong friendship and we’re honoured to be their home 💪

Strong Mums 💪 Starting in February, Coach @kas Strong Mums 💪

Starting in February, Coach @kasia_siekierska will be working with a small group of women who want to prioritise their health and feel confident & strong.

Kasia is highly trained in pre & post natal exercise. This is for women who want expert guidance in how to train before or after child birth. 

The post natal phase doesn’t just last a few months. It is an ongoing process and Kasia is experienced in helping women to feel empowered again!

If you’re finding it hard to find time for you or the thought makes you feel guilty Kasia is the coach you need! She is experienced and knows exactly how you feel as she juggles life, training and raising a young child herself.

This 10 week course involves both in person and independent exercises. It can be done at home, in the gym or anywhere you feel comfortable!

As part of your membership to Athlete Movement we’ve always offered a programme to get you started.

We’ve upgraded our service and now have multiple programmes available on FitR for all Athlete Movement members.

We currently have 3 programmes available for you all to grab:

- A programme for people just getting back into the gym with no barbells
- A 6 week programme designed to get you stronger using barbells
- Our weekly MetCon programming available to everyone with a classes membership

FitR is the ideal app for these programmes as it allows us to include video tutorials and you to leave comments about your session for us 💪

These crazy people (plus Jenn) turn up bright & early and ready to put in a SHIFT! 💪

As a Coach you rely on the energy of the class members to push you through the early mornings and these guys have it in abundance!

Always a joy to spend an early morning with, they never fail to put the work in. You’d be amazed the things these guys achieve before most people are awake 🤩
Give this little core circuit a go 💪 Side pla Give this little core circuit a go 💪 

Side plank rotations: ensure you keep your eyes on the dumbbell at all times. Don’t allow your hips to drop. Execute in a controlled manner at all times.

Shoulder taps: squeeze your glutes to prevent your hips from swinging. Try to avoid hips from sagging or lifting as you perform the movement.

Dead bugs: push your low back into the floor to prevent an arch. Opposite arm and leg moves at the same time.

Bird dogs: focus on keeping your hips square so they don’t move from side to side by engaging your core.
Skills Class 🤸 Saturday was the first lesson Skills Class 🤸 

Saturday was the first lesson for our new Skills Class with Coach Kasia!

It was a roaring success and everyone got to grips with rope climbs under the watchful eye of our expert new Coach 🤩

Skills Class focuses on the gymnastic / higher skill elements involved in functional exercise. Rope climbs, muscle ups, ring work, handstand walks and much more!

Skills Class is every Saturday at 9am. Get booked in!
